Scientific Projects

Diagnostic investigation is indispensable for developing new, state-of-the-art diagnostic methods and therapies that are more effective and have less side effects.  We take an active part in the spine care scientific community not only in Hungary but also internationally in order to be in a position to offer the best available care to our patients now and in the future.   We use health care methods and means that are effective and accepted by the international community.  Oftentimes, these are the result of intense scientific research that had been carried out in this institution.

We are currently involved in the following scientific projects:

Internationally

Spine Oncology Study Group (SOSG) -    Diagnostic and state-of-the-art therapeutic treatment of tumorous diseases of the spine.

Genodisc - Investigation of intervertebral disc degeneration and degenerative diseases of the spine: development of new biomarkers and diagnostic methods.

Acadia -     Development of the facet joint endoprothesis system for improved therapies for degenerative diseases of the spine

Dynesis     - Clinical testing of dynamic stabilization systems

CAFE -     Explores the possibilities of using minimally invasive procedures (balloon kyphoplasty) in cases of fractured vertebrae resulting from tumorous diseases.  

Prestige - Clinical tests conducted to determine the long-term effectiveness of the a cervical intervertebral disc prosthesis, Prestige®
