Acadia Study

acadia4 Acadia is a new USFDA approved prosthetic spinal implant system. The prosthesis was designed to replace degenerated facet joints. The clinical trials are currently going on in a few institutions in Europe, including our own.

The benefit of this system is that it offers a surgical solution that preserves the spine's range of motion in contrast to earlier alternatives of bone fusion and rigid spinal fixation that curtailed vertebral movement.
